What we have a stake in, how we decide what to recommend, and how we keep our guides and research honest.

Financial interests

High Street has a financial interest in one software product we recommend: PostWharf, a social media scheduling tool. If you buy it, we benefit.

We recommend it because we use it in our own work and think it is the best fit for the jobs we describe. But you should read our recommendations knowing we are not neutral about it. That is the point of this page.

How we handle that on the page

  • Said next to the recommendation. Any page that recommends or ranks PostWharf says so in one short line beside the first recommendation, with a link here.
  • Never called independent. We don't describe those pages as neutral, unbiased or independent reviews.
  • Criteria stated up front. Where it is our pick, the page says what we ranked on, and the pick has to win on those criteria.
  • Weaknesses included. Every tool we list, including PostWharf, gets a plain note on where it falls short and who should choose something else.
  • Rival facts from the rival. Prices and features for other tools come from each vendor's own website, with the date we read them. If a vendor doesn't publish something, we say so rather than guess.

No vendor has paid for a place in any of our articles. If that ever changes, the placement will be labelled as paid where it appears.

How our research is measured

Our research reports state the method, the dates, the engines and the question sets behind every figure. Some of the sites we measure are ones we have full measurement access to; we anonymise them. We publish results that don't flatter anyone, and we state each study's limits alongside its findings.

AI assistance

Some of our guides are drafted with AI assistance from our own research and the sources linked on the page. A person on our team reviews every page before it's published, and we check facts against the linked sources.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong or out of date, email hello@highstreetagency.com. We'll fix it and note what changed on the page. Vendors can ask us to correct facts about their own products the same way.
