AI search visibility: get named when customers ask AI who to use.

When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI answer for the best clinic, garage or software in their area, it names three or four businesses. We find out whether you're one of them on each engine, fix what's keeping you out, and measure it every week.

Why it's different from SEO

Ranking well doesn't mean being named.

Search ranks pages against a query. An AI answer is assembled from businesses and sources the engine already recognises and trusts. That's why a site can do well on Google and still be absent from the answer.

What we measured

  • A UAE directory scored 62/100 on traditional search and 3/100 in AI answers on the same day. Read the report
  • Across 2,061 outside citations in one category, 51.5% came from roundups and comparison pages. The vendor's own site supplied 4.9% of all the evidence. See the data
  • Perplexity drew on 23 of 25 outside sources; ChatGPT on just 3. Each engine needs its own plan.
Engines we measure

Seven engines, measured separately.

An average across engines hides the useful part. You see each one on its own, every week, on the same questions.

Daily tracking covers these seven. Microsoft Copilot and DeepSeek are not in daily tracking; tell us if your customers use them and we'll cover them in the check.
EngineWhere your customers meet itWhat tends to move it
ChatGPTThe ChatGPT app and websiteThe slowest to change in our data: it cited the fewest outside sources. Entity consistency and your own pages matter most.
PerplexityPerplexity app, browser and searchThe most open to outside sources in our data. Roundups, directories and community threads move it fastest.
GeminiGemini app, Android, Google WorkspaceConcentrates on a small number of large sources. Being on those matters more than being on many small ones.
ClaudeClaude app and tools built on itNearly as broad as Perplexity: it leans on roundups and community content alike.
GrokX (formerly Twitter) and the Grok appMid-range breadth, with a noticeable liking for community threads.
Google AI OverviewsThe AI summary at the top of Google resultsBroad, weighted towards established publishers. Being well indexed in Google Search is the starting point.
Google AI ModeThe conversational AI tab in Google SearchA separate surface from AI Overviews with its own answers, so we measure it on its own.
How it works

Measure, fix the sources, measure again.

  1. Baseline

We write the unbranded questions your buyers really ask, in English and Arabic, and run them across all seven engines. You see who gets named and which sources each engine cites.

  2. Entity clean-up

The same name, address, phone, services and prices everywhere engines look: your site, Google Business Profile, directories and social profiles, backed by structured data.

  3. Sources and answers

A place on the roundups and lists engines already cite in your category, plus comparison, pricing and FAQ pages written as complete answers engines can quote.

  4. Weekly re-measurement

The same questions, every engine, every week. You see what moved and what we're doing next, in a one-page monthly report.

What's included

The work, not just a dashboard.

Monitoring on its own tells you you're missing. The value is in the fixes. That's what we price.

Want to track it yourself instead? We compare the tools, prices included, in the best AI visibility tools, and you can run a quick manual test with our guide to checking if ChatGPT recommends your business.

  • Buyer question set of the questions that actually lead to a sale, in English and Arabic, agreed with you
  • Per-engine baseline with the competitors named in your place and the sources each engine cites
  • Entity and structured data fixes on your site, Google Business Profile and key directories
  • Source plan: the roundups, directories and communities to be on, and honest outreach to get there
  • Answer-ready pages: comparison, pricing and FAQ content written so engines can quote it
  • Google Search Console joined in, so every gap comes with the search demand behind it
  • Weekly re-measurement and a plain one-page monthly report
What we won't do

No tricks that backfire.

  • Pay for placements on "best of" lists without them being labelled as paid
  • Write fake reviews, or post as customers on Reddit and forums
  • Mass-produce thin AI pages that differ only by the city name
  • Report branded questions as if they were visibility. An engine that can look up your name isn't recommending you.
  • Promise you'll be named by any engine by a certain date
FAQ

AI visibility questions

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO is about ranking pages in search results. AEO (answer engine optimisation) and GEO (generative engine optimisation) are two names for the same newer goal: being named or cited inside an AI-generated answer. They overlap, but they reward different things. Ranking evaluates a page against a query; an AI answer is assembled from businesses and sources the engine already trusts.

Which AI engines do you measure?

Seven, every day: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Microsoft Copilot and DeepSeek are not in our daily tracking; if your customers rely on them, tell us and we will cover them in the check.

Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend my business?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. No agency controls what an AI engine says. What we can do is fix the things engines demonstrably rely on, measure the result on the same questions every week, and show you exactly what changed.

How long does it take?

It depends on the engine. In our measurement Perplexity and Claude cited 23 and 22 of 25 outside sources in a category, while ChatGPT cited 3, so work on third-party sources tends to show up in Perplexity and Claude first and in ChatGPT last. Expect a weekly view of movement rather than a single launch date.

Do you measure questions in Arabic?

Yes. If your customers ask in Arabic, the question set includes Arabic versions, and we report them separately so you can see whether the engines treat the two languages differently.
